Summary

This study tests two simple methods to control heavy bleeding after childbirth when the uterus fails to contract. About 216 women will be randomly assigned to receive either a balloon placed in the uterus or gauze packing. The goal is to see which stops bleeding within 24 hours without needing more surgery.
