New balloon treatment aims to keep tiny heart arteries open

NCT ID NCT07158307

Summary

This study is observing how well a special balloon works for people with new blockages in their small heart arteries. The balloon is coated with a drug (paclitaxel) meant to help keep the artery open after it's stretched. Researchers will follow 3,000 patients for up to 3 years to see if the treatment is safe and prevents future heart problems like heart attacks or the need for more procedures.
