Tiny balloon could shield hearts from silent plaque bombs
NCT ID NCT06416813
Summary
This study is testing if using a special medicated balloon to treat a specific type of dangerous, non-blocking heart plaque is better than just using strong medications alone. It involves 140 people who recently had a heart attack or unstable angina. Researchers want to see if the balloon procedure helps keep the artery more open and stabilizes the plaque one year later.
