New balloon approach tested for emergency heart attack care
NCT ID NCT07436429
Summary
This study is observing patients who have a major type of heart attack (STEMI) to see how they do after being treated with a special drug-coated balloon instead of the standard metal stent. The goal is to collect real-world data on whether this balloon procedure is safe and works well for opening blocked arteries during a heart attack. It will track 300 patients from multiple hospitals to understand the risks and benefits.
