New balloon device aims to clear clogged leg arteries
NCT ID NCT07397390
Summary
This study is testing a special scoring balloon device to open up severely hardened and narrowed arteries in the legs. It will enroll 58 patients with poor leg circulation due to these calcium deposits. Doctors will use the balloon during a standard artery-opening procedure and then monitor patients for 6 months to see how well the artery stays open and if it improves walking pain or wounds.
