New balloon device aims to clear hardened leg arteries

Summary

This study is testing a specialized scoring balloon catheter to open up severely hardened and narrowed arteries in the legs of patients with peripheral artery disease. The research will observe 58 patients to see how well the device works immediately and track their recovery over 6 months. The goal is to improve blood flow and reduce symptoms like leg pain and wounds without needing more invasive surgery.
