Balloon in the aorta: a new hope for saving lives during cardiac arrest?

NCT ID NCT07434726

Summary

This study is testing if adding a special balloon device to standard CPR helps more people survive an in-hospital cardiac arrest. The balloon is placed in the main artery to temporarily redirect blood flow to the heart and brain. Researchers will compare survival rates between patients receiving standard CPR alone and those receiving CPR plus the balloon device.
