Stroke study could change how doctors handle high blood pressure in emergency clot treatment
NCT ID NCT07318948
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at the best way to manage high blood pressure in people having a stroke who are eligible for clot-busting medication. Currently, doctors lower blood pressure first, then give the drug, which can delay treatment. The trial will compare this step-by-step approach to giving both treatments at the same time. About 1,600 participants will be enrolled at hospitals worldwide to see which method leads to better recovery and fewer complications.
