Seeing less to stand stronger: new balance trick for seniors
NCT ID NCT07554118
First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether older adults (65+) can improve their balance by training with their vision restricted. For two weeks, participants practice standing on a moving platform, either with full sight or limited sight. The idea is that limiting vision forces the body to rely more on touch and joint sensations, which may improve overall stability. The study involves 30 people and measures balance before and after training.
