Summary
This study aimed to understand how people with below-knee or above-knee amputations maintain their balance when the ground unexpectedly moves. Researchers observed 29 participants, including both amputees and healthy individuals, while they stood on a moving platform. They measured muscle activity and body movements to learn about the different strategies used to prevent falls.
