Can a friendly germ stop kidney stones?

NCT ID NCT03752684

Summary

This study tested if giving people a specific type of harmless gut bacteria could help their bodies handle a substance called oxalate, which is linked to kidney stones. Researchers gave 26 healthy adults the bacteria and measured oxalate levels in their urine and stool before and after. The goal was to see if the bacteria could live in the gut and change how much oxalate the body gets rid of.
