Walking backward to move forward: new stroke rehab study

Summary

This study looks at whether walking backward can help stroke survivors improve their walking and balance. Researchers will test two different training schedules (18 vs. 27 sessions) in 48 Veterans who had a stroke. They will also use brain scans to see how the brain changes with training and which people benefit most.
