New injection aims to ease agony of Worn-Out spinal discs

NCT ID NCT06778447

Summary

This study is testing whether a single injection of donor disc tissue can safely reduce chronic low back pain caused by worn-out spinal discs. About 500 adults with long-term pain that hasn't improved with standard care will receive either the real injection or a sham (fake) procedure. Researchers will compare pain levels and safety between the two groups over one year to see if the treatment works.
