Tiny camera in spine offers new hope for chronic back pain sufferers

NCT ID NCT07411950

Summary

This study tested a minimally invasive procedure called epiduroscopic adhesiolysis to relieve chronic back and leg pain. It compared results in 141 people who had prior unsuccessful back surgery to those who had never had spine surgery. The procedure uses a tiny camera to see and gently break up scar tissue around nerves in the spine, sometimes adding medication. The main goal was to see if it reduced pain and improved daily function.
