Summary

This study tested two common exercise methods to see which is better for people with ongoing low back pain. Researchers compared using elastic resistance bands to using free weights, like dumbbells, for strengthening a key hip muscle. The goal was to see which method more effectively reduced pain, increased strength, and improved walking speed in 36 participants.
