First seen Jan 26, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looks at two different places to put a pacemaker lead in people with sick sinus syndrome. The goal is to see which spot—Bachmann's bundle or the right atrial appendage—better protects the heart's upper chambers from damage. Researchers will track heart structure and function over time in 200 adults getting a new pacemaker.
