First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study follows preterm infants at risk for retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), a condition that can affect vision. Researchers use a special camera (OCT) to take detailed images of the back of the eye, looking for early signs that might predict future vision or brain development problems. About 236 children will be observed up to school age to see how these images relate to their vision and thinking skills.
