Summary

This large study in Mali, West Africa, tests whether giving the antibiotic azithromycin to pregnant women and their babies can prevent stillbirths and infant deaths. Over 99,000 participants are involved. The goal is to find a simple, low-cost way to save lives in an area with very high infant mortality.
