New hope for kids with deadly brain cancers: first trial of experimental drug combo

Summary
This early-stage study is testing a new oral drug, AZD1390, given alongside standard radiation therapy in children and young adults with aggressive brain tumors. The main goals are to find the safest dose of the drug and to see what side effects occur when it's combined with radiation. Researchers will also get a first look at whether this combination might help control these difficult-to-treat cancers.
