New pill could lower bad cholesterol, study underway

Summary

This study tests an experimental pill called AZD0780 for people with high cholesterol (dyslipidaemia). About 360 adults with elevated LDL-C will take the drug or a placebo for up to 52 weeks to see if it safely lowers cholesterol levels. The goal is to find a new treatment option for managing heart disease risk.
