New pill aims to crush bad cholesterol in High-Risk patients
NCT ID NCT07218900
Summary
This study is testing whether a new oral drug called AZD0780, when taken alongside the common cholesterol medication rosuvastatin, can lower 'bad' LDL cholesterol more effectively than rosuvastatin alone. It will involve about 76 adult participants in Russia who have high cholesterol and are at risk for heart disease. For 12 weeks, half will take the new drug combination, while the other half takes a placebo with rosuvastatin, and neither they nor the doctors will know who gets which until the study ends.
