New pill aims to tackle bad cholesterol in heart health trial

NCT ID NCT07218900

Summary

This study is testing if a new oral drug, AZD0780, can help lower 'bad' cholesterol (LDL-C) in adults who already have high cholesterol. About 76 participants in Russia will take either the new drug or a placebo (a dummy pill) for 12 weeks, in addition to their standard cholesterol medication. The goal is to see if adding AZD0780 is more effective and safe for controlling cholesterol levels compared to standard treatment alone.
