Heart drug trial halted early in first human tests
NCT ID NCT06381466
Summary
This was an early safety study for a new drug called AZD0233, which is being developed for a serious heart condition called dilated cardiomyopathy. The trial tested single and multiple doses in 84 healthy volunteers to check for side effects and see how the body processes the drug. The study was terminated early, and no patients with the actual heart disease were treated.
