Ancient wellness practices show promise for modern diabetes care
NCT ID NCT07400276
Summary
This small study tested whether a 12-week program combining an Ayurvedic diet, gentle yoga, and breathing exercises was practical and acceptable for people with type 2 diabetes. Seventeen adults from a North Carolina clinic tried the program, with twelve completing it. The study found the program was safe and feasible to run in a doctor's office, and participants showed improvements in blood sugar, weight, and stress levels, supporting the need for larger future studies.
