Summary
This study looks at whether awake prone positioning (lying on your stomach while awake) can improve breathing in adults with sickle cell disease who are in the intensive care unit for acute chest syndrome. The approach aims to improve oxygen levels and reduce the need for a breathing tube. Fifteen participants will be monitored for changes in breathing and pain.
