Summary
This study tested an experimental drug called AVP-786 in 145 adults with schizophrenia who still had troubling symptoms despite taking their usual antipsychotic medication. The goal was to see if adding AVP-786 could reduce negative symptoms like lack of motivation and social withdrawal. Participants took either the drug or a placebo for 12 weeks, and researchers measured changes in symptom scores and checked for side effects.
