New Two-Pronged attack on rare, complex blood cancer begins human testing

NCT ID NCT06327685

Summary

This early-stage study is testing the safety of combining two drugs, avapritinib and decitabine, for patients with a rare and complex blood cancer called SM-AHN. The goal is to find a dose that is safe and tolerable while trying to control both the mast cell and the blood cell parts of the disease. Researchers will enroll about 34 adults to carefully monitor how patients handle the combination.
