New drug aims to speed recovery from painful pancreatic attacks
NCT ID NCT04681066
Summary
This study tested whether a new drug called Auxora could help people hospitalized with a severe form of acute pancreatitis. Researchers gave 216 patients either Auxora or a placebo (inactive substance) for three days to see if it helped them tolerate solid food sooner and reduced serious complications like organ failure. The goal was to see if Auxora could control the dangerous body-wide inflammation and help patients leave the hospital faster.
