NCT ID NCT03324529
First seen Mar 10, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a 15-week program of device-guided breathing can improve heart rate variability and quality of life in people who have had takotsubo syndrome, also known as broken heart syndrome. Ten people with a history of the condition and ten healthy volunteers will have their autonomic nervous system tested in a lab and then at home. The goal is to see if home monitoring is reliable and if the breathing program helps.
