Smart device tested to protect Kids' airways in ICU
NCT ID NCT06965400
Summary
This study compared two methods for managing the pressure in breathing tubes for children on ventilators in intensive care. It tested whether an automatic monitoring device works better than nurses manually checking every few hours. The goal was to see if the automatic method keeps pressure in a safer range more consistently and reduces the workload for nurses.
