First seen Dec 08, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tested two ways of monitoring the pressure in the breathing tube cuff for children on ventilators in intensive care. It compared an automatic device (IntelliCuff®) with manual checks by nurses. The goal was to see which method keeps the pressure in the safe range more consistently and reduces the time nurses spend on adjustments.
