First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tested whether an automated device called FlowSure can measure urine output more accurately than the usual manual method in hospitalized patients with a urinary catheter. 75 adults took part, and their urine was monitored over 8- and 24-hour periods. The goal was to see if automation improves accuracy and completeness of urine records, which could help make hospital care safer and more efficient.
