Robot takes over IVF lab: will it make Baby-Making more efficient?
NCT ID NCT06581068
First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests a new automated system called AURA that performs key steps in the IVF process, such as preparing sperm, finding eggs, and fertilizing them. About 150 people undergoing fertility treatment will have their eggs and sperm processed by the robot, while a few eggs are handled the usual way for comparison. The goal is to see if the robot can work reliably and efficiently, potentially making IVF more consistent and less hands-on.
