Robot pancreas trial aims to protect kidneys in diabetic patients
NCT ID NCT06925217
Summary
This study is testing whether a fully automated insulin delivery system can improve blood flow and oxygen levels in the kidneys of people with type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease. About 76 adults will use either the automated system or their standard insulin therapy for 26 weeks. Researchers will use special MRI scans to measure kidney oxygen levels and track blood sugar control to see if the automated system offers kidney protection.
