DIY vs. Store-Bought: can homemade insulin tech keep up during workouts?

NCT ID NCT05626725

Summary

This study looked at how well automated insulin delivery systems work for physically active adults with type 1 diabetes. Researchers observed 76 people for 6 weeks, comparing commercial systems with homemade 'DIY' versions, to see how they managed blood sugar levels before, during, and after exercise. The goal was to understand the safety and effectiveness of these systems in real-life, active situations.
