Massive 5,000-Person hunt for the hidden genetic triggers of rare fever diseases

NCT ID NCT00001373

Summary

This study aims to discover the genetic roots of rare diseases that cause recurring fevers and inflammation, like Familial Mediterranean Fever. It will enroll 5,000 people, including patients, their family members, and healthy volunteers, to collect DNA samples and medical histories. The goal is to better understand these conditions to help guide future research and treatments, but this study itself does not test a new therapy.
