Scientists track silent stomach disease that can lead to cancer
NCT ID NCT07388459
Summary
This study aims to better understand autoimmune atrophic gastritis, a chronic stomach condition where the immune system attacks stomach cells. Researchers will follow 600 adults with this diagnosis for years to learn how the disease progresses, who is most at risk for developing stomach cancer or other complications, and what symptoms or test results might signal trouble early. The goal is to gather knowledge to help doctors manage the condition and prevent serious outcomes.
