Scientists hunt for hidden culprits in mysterious brain disease
NCT ID NCT07477015
Summary
This study aims to better understand how autoimmune encephalitis, a condition where the immune system attacks the brain, develops. Researchers will study blood samples from 20 adult patients with known or suspected forms of the disease. The main goal is to discover new antibodies that might be causing the illness in patients who currently test negative, which could lead to better future diagnoses.
