Scientists test new tools to gauge autism therapy success in toddlers

NCT ID NCT04146428

Summary

This study aimed to test two new tools for measuring changes in social and communication skills in young children with autism. It involved 84 children aged 18 months to 5 years who received a play-based therapy called JASPER, delivered either by a clinician or a parent. The main goal was to see if the new measurement tools (BOSCC and ELSA-T) could reliably track small improvements during the therapy.
