New study aims to help teachers better support autistic kids in class

Summary

This study tests two programs in public schools: one helps educators use proven techniques to reduce challenging behaviors in autistic children, and the other helps school leaders keep these techniques in use over time. About 373 teachers and students in grades K-5 will take part. The goal is to find practical ways to improve support for autistic children in everyday classrooms.
