Stanford's 'Mystic Pets' game aims to soothe scared kids in hospitals
NCT ID NCT06922032
Summary
This study is testing whether a new audio-based game called 'Mystic Pets' is a practical and acceptable way to help distract children in the hospital. It's designed for kids aged 4-17 who are feeling stressed or scared, using sound and hand gestures so they can still see their surroundings and caregivers. The main goal is to see if this approach is feasible and could become a useful non-drug tool for managing distress.
