Stanford's audio game aims to soothe scared kids in hospitals

NCT ID NCT06922032

Summary

This study is testing whether a new audio-based game called Mystic Pets is a practical and helpful tool for distracting children in the hospital. The game uses sound and hand gestures, letting kids see their surroundings and caregivers while they play, which may help reduce their fear and distress during medical care. Researchers at Stanford will ask about 20 children, aged 4 to 17, to try the game and share their feedback.
