First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looks at whether hearing a popping sound during a spinal manipulation (like a chiropractic adjustment) changes how much pain relief and satisfaction people feel. 38 adults with non-specific neck and upper back pain took part. One group had an audible pop during the treatment, the other did not. Researchers measured neck movement and satisfaction before and 48 hours after the session.
