First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looks at whether paying attention to your muscles (internal focus) or to the exercise equipment (external focus) during leg-strengthening exercises can better reduce knee pain and improve function in people with patellofemoral pain syndrome. Researchers will enroll 36 adults aged 18-45 and track changes in pain, strength, and daily activities over 6 weeks. The goal is to find the best way to guide exercise for faster recovery.
