Summary

This study tests whether giving magnesium through an IV can safely lower a dangerously fast heart rate in people with atrial fibrillation or flutter. About 153 adults will receive either a low dose (2g), a higher dose (4g), or a placebo. The main goal is to see if magnesium helps control heart rate within the first two hours.
