Scientists map the Heart's electrical chaos to predict treatment success

NCT ID NCT04229160

Summary

This study aims to better understand the electrical patterns in the heart that cause a persistent irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation). Researchers will use a non-invasive 3D mapping system to look at these patterns in 50 patients before and after they receive a standard catheter ablation treatment. The goal is to see if certain electrical patterns can predict whether the treatment will be successful in the long run.
