Heart rhythm breakthrough? new ablation technique tested for stubborn AFib
NCT ID NCT07445360
Summary
This study aims to find out if adding an extra step to a standard heart ablation procedure works better for people with persistent atrial fibrillation (AFib). It will compare the standard procedure (pulmonary vein isolation) against the standard procedure plus ablation of a specific heart tissue bundle (Bachmann bundle). The main goal is to see which approach helps patients maintain a normal heart rhythm for a longer time after treatment.
