New heart mapping tech tested to zap irregular heartbeats
NCT ID NCT03729830
Summary
This study tested specialized heart mapping and ablation tools to control recurring episodes of atrial fibrillation (AFib). It involved 415 people having their first ablation procedure for AFib that stops on its own within a week. Researchers followed participants for three years to see how safe and effective the tools were at preventing future AFib episodes.
