First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether using special ECG mapping, MRI, and PET scans can help doctors find and treat the exact areas causing persistent atrial fibrillation (a type of irregular heartbeat). About 52 adults with this condition will receive a tailored catheter ablation guided by these images. The goal is to see if this approach leads to a higher success rate in restoring normal heart rhythm.
