Danish hospitals test which heart procedure works best
NCT ID NCT07456540
Summary
This study compares different standard methods for treating irregular heart rhythm (atrial fibrillation) using a procedure called pulmonary vein isolation. Over 1,100 patients at two Copenhagen hospitals will receive one of the standard treatments during their scheduled procedure. Researchers will track which method best prevents the irregular rhythm from returning over the following year and which has fewer complications.
